Deleted every synth on the record and started over. Better now.

Rough mix of I Dreamed in Black and White sounds like a boat engine, and I mean that nicely.

Moving week just ended, which means my guitar is somewhere in a box labeled "kitchen." So far I have found the kettle, a lamp, nine mugs and the instruction manual for a toaster I don't own. The new neighborhood has a good bakery and a terrible echo in the stairwell, and I've already written two songs there.

Restock day. The black tee is back in S through XXL, the tour poster is printed on thick paper and the zine has a new cover. Everything is made locally, priced so I don't cry at the post office and packed on the kitchen floor with a cat supervising. Orders ship on Fridays.

Went to see a friend's band last night in the back of a pizza place. There were maybe thirty people and the sound was awful, and it was one of the best shows I've seen this year. It reminded me why I started playing: to be in a small room with people who care. Go to a small show this week. Buy a shirt.
