THE FEED

A confession: I sat on Same Time Next Week for three years because I couldn't decide whether it was finished. Last month a friend heard it in the car, said it was, and refused to give back the keys until I agreed. So here it is, along with the rest of Handwritten. Thank you for waiting, and for not asking.

I'm very grateful to the label, who let me turn in the record three months late and didn't blink.

Went to see a friend's band last night in the back of a pizza place. There were maybe thirty people and the sound was awful, and it was one of the best shows I've seen this year. It reminded me why I started playing: to be in a small room with people who care. Go to a small show this week. Buy a shirt.

Today I'm putting out Handwritten. It's a long one, so sit down.

Cassettes of Handwritten are on the way. Fifty copies, hand-numbered. First come, first served.

Mixing session today. Everything's too loud, then everything's too quiet. Then, around five, it's fine.
