THE FEED

Quit my job this week. Terrified, thrilled, extremely underqualified for anything else.

The Parking Lot Sessions is out today, and I want to say how it got made. Two years ago I had four songs, a borrowed tape machine and a kitchen with good acoustics. Then a friend with a van, a neighbor with a piano and a lot of Tuesday nights did the rest. If it sounds a little like a house party that turned into a record, that's about right.

My cat sits on the keyboard every time I record. You can hear her on Field Notes if you listen closely.
