A thank-you note, in public, because it won't fit in a text. To everyone who bought The Same River Twice, told a friend, came to The Wharf Shed or sent a message on a bad day: you made this year possible. I've kept a list of your names in the lid of my guitar case. It's getting hard to close.

A confession: I sat on Up on the Roof Again for three years because I couldn't decide whether it was finished. Last month a friend heard it in the car, said it was, and refused to give back the keys until I agreed. So here it is, along with the rest of The Same River Twice. Thank you for waiting, and for not asking.
