THE FEED

Moving week just ended, which means my guitar is somewhere in a box labeled "kitchen." So far I have found the kettle, a lamp, nine mugs and the instruction manual for a toaster I don't own. The new neighborhood has a good bakery and a terrible echo in the stairwell, and I've already written two songs there.

New record, Amplifier Burial, out on Friday. It's the quietest thing I've done: mostly one guitar, one voice and the sound of a radiator in the next room. I almost added drums three times and talked myself out of it three times. Pre-orders are open, and the first track, Just Passing Through, is yours the second you click.

Back in the studio. Nothing to report except coffee.

Two new songs tonight, no announcement, no fuss. Just Passing Through first.

Rehearsal went long, setlist is a mess, and I think I'm ready. See you in Tokyo.

Current status: seventeen mics, one cat, two hands. Probably forgot the red light.
